# meta-qcom-extras

This layer enables source compilation of select components, which are otherwise provided as binaries
in the `meta-qcom` layer. To access `meta-qcom-extras`, you will need a Qualcomm ID and belong to a
verified company. See [Working with Qualcomm](https://www.qualcomm.com/support/working-with-qualcomm)
for more information on accessing authorized resources and creating a Qualcomm ID. Once you have access,
follow the steps described in [Build Your Own Firmware Images](https://dragonwingdocs.qualcomm.com/Key-Documents/Firmware-Guide/build-firmware)
to use the `meta-qcom-extras` layer.
